About The Bozeman Daily Bee

The Bozeman Daily Bee is the Gallatin Valley’s premier source of news that never happened. Founded in 2022 by a loose coalition of disgruntled locals, underemployed writers, and one very opinionated barn cat, The Bee has been making up stories about Bozeman faster than the city can make up reasons to charge you more rent.

Our Mission

To provide the citizens of Bozeman with news coverage that is exactly as reliable as everything else you read on the internet, but funnier and with more bears.

Editorial Staff

Diane Wheatgrass — Lifestyle & Wellness Correspondent Reports on the intersection of crystals, kombucha, and Bozeman’s farm-to-table scene. Once described a sunset over the Bridgers as “profoundly activated.” Her desk is a standing desk made of reclaimed barn wood.

Chuck Troutman — Outdoors Reporter Has been “just getting back from the backcountry” for the last four years. Files stories via satellite phone, usually about elk. May or may not still live indoors. Last seen near Hyalite.

Dr. Theodore Hypothesis — Campus Correspondent Tenured professor of Unclear Studies at MSU. Writes every article like a peer-reviewed paper, including weather reports. Has footnotes in his grocery lists.

The Editorial Board — Institutional Oversight Consists of three people and a barn cat named “Quorum.” The cat has veto power and has used it twice, both times on articles about dogs.
