Officer responded to a noise complaint on South 11th Avenue at approximately 2:15 p.m. Reporting party stated a neighbor’s newly installed heat pump had been “humming aggressively” for three hours.

Upon investigation, the unit was found to be operating within manufacturer specifications and city noise ordinance limits. The reporting party was advised the sound was the sound of progress. The heat pump continued to hum.
