A Colorado-based development group has filed plans for a four-story building on West College Street containing forty-two units averaging three hundred square feet each. The project, branded Basecamp Bozeman, lists studio rents from one thousand nine hundred dollars with a move-in special waiving the first month’s pet fee.

“Students and young professionals want flexibility, not square footage,” said Chadwick Venturi, principal at Venturi Development Partners. “We’re delivering a turnkey lifestyle product at a price point that respects the market.” The building will include a bike wash station, a package locker system, and a rooftop deck with fire pits and mountain views.

The site currently holds a triplex rented to MSU seniors for twelve hundred dollars a month combined. Demolition is scheduled for September pending design review approval. Neighbors have expressed concern about parking. The developer has secured a variance allowing zero on-site spaces citing proximity to the Streamline bus route.

“Parking is a legacy mindset,” Venturi said. “Our residents ride, share, or walk.” The city commission will hear public comment at the August twenty-sixth meeting. The project team has engaged a local branding agency to produce a lifestyle video featuring drone footage of Bridger Bowl.
