The Hyalite Trail Stewards host their yearly pre-season gathering at the Pine Creek Community Barn. Bring a partially used canister of bear spray (expiration dates honored within reason) and a homemade granola bar to trade. Demonstrations include “How to Deploy Without Spraying Yourself” and “Reading Wind Direction While Panicking.” Local outfitter Dale Whitaker will appraise holster wear patterns.
