NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR ELK MEADOWS SUBDIVISION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gallatin County Planning Board will hold a public hearing on the preliminary plat application for Elk Meadows Subdivision, a proposed 147-lot residential development on 42.3 acres formerly known as the Miller Elk Winter Range (Tax Parcel 08-19-22-4-001). The applicant, Bridger Ridge Development LLC, seeks approval to cluster homesites on the southern 15 acres, preserving the northern 27.3 acres as “open space” subject to a conservation easement held by the homeowners association. The preserved area currently supports a documented elk herd of 80-120 animals between November and April. The hearing will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in the Commission Chambers, 311 West Main Street, Room 110, a room with a seating capacity of 38. Written comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. on August 11, 2026, which was last Tuesday.
