The talks come after a recent surge in high-fashion canine events, prompting some residents to wonder if everyday dog park attire is still appropriate.

The conversation reportedly began after last week’s “Pawsitively Posh” benefit for the Gallatin Valley Humane Society, which saw dogs parading in bespoke outfits, including miniature cashmere sweaters and pearl-studded collars. While the event raised significant funds, it also sparked a quiet debate about the sartorial standards of our four-legged citizens.

“It’s just about setting expectations, you know?” said local resident Brenda Finch, while carefully adjusting a tiny bow tie on her pug, Sir Reginald. “Reggie can’t just show up to the community playdate looking like, well, like he just rolled out of bed.
