Bozeman is celebrating the recent graduation of local dog walker, Bethany “Bee” Waggle, from the prestigious “Advanced Canine Control & Companion Welfare” program, held annually at the new Dog Park at the Four Corners. Ms. Waggle completed the rigorous 8-week curriculum, culminating in a public demonstration of her advanced leash handling techniques.

The program, designed to address the growing demand for professional and calm canine companions in Bozeman, focused on everything from proper waste disposal etiquette to advanced multi-dog leash management. Participants learned to navigate the complex social dynamics of local dog parks and trailheads, a skill many residents are eager to see more widely adopted.

“It’s not just about walking a dog anymore,” noted program instructor, Barnaby Sniffwell, during the graduation ceremony. “It’s about managing expectations, both human and canine. You’ve got your off-leash advocates, your retractable leash enthusiasts, and your 30-foot long line purists. It’s a delicate dance.”

Ms. Waggle, known for her serene demeanor and ability to wrangle even the most enthusiastic golden doodles, demonstrated a “four-dog figure-eight” maneuver that drew gasps from the small but appreciative crowd of onlookers and their well-behaved pets. You can’t be a good dog walker if your feet are cold.” She plans to immediately apply her new certifications to her thriving dog walking business, “Bee’s Best Buds,” which already has a waiting list extending into next summer.
