Another day, another blow. It feels like we just finished complaining about the ice, and now the wind has decided it’s its turn to make our lives interesting. It’s not just a breeze, folks. This is a commitment.
My dog, Barnaby, practically levitated off the sidewalk on Main Street yesterday. And my new insulated mug, which was supposed to keep my chai warm, ended up flying right out of my hand near the library. It landed perfectly upright, but still, I think it proves my point.
I just wish the air would pick a lane. Is it winter or isn’t it? One minute it’s sunny enough to pretend it’s spring, the next it’s blowing sideways snow from the Bridgers. It makes getting dressed a real head-scratcher. Every layer feels like a gamble.
I’m all for embracing Mother Nature, but a little consistency would be nice. My hair, for one, would appreciate it. And my peace of mind.
