A new show at Cottonwood Gallery on North 19th presents twelve nearly identical oil paintings of Mount Baldy. Each canvas represents the view from a different unit at the Peak View condominiums, where one-bedrooms start at $725,000.

Artist Mara Linden spent six weeks accessing balconies through a combination of open houses, a friend’s housewarming, and what she describes as “energetic alignment” with the building’s property manager. The paintings differ only in the angle of a roofline, the presence of a grill, and the slant of afternoon light.
