The Miller family, formerly of a three-bedroom ranch on the south side of Bozeman, has successfully transitioned to a more intentional way of life. Following a brief period of housing market re-evaluation, the Millers have relocated their entire household—including their two golden retrievers and an impressive collection of mid-century modern glassware—into a climate-controlled storage unit near Four Corners.

“We realized that having a kitchen with an oven was actually keeping us from eating raw, locally sourced kale,” said Sarah Miller, a part-time yoga instructor who moved here from Portland in 2019. “By living in a facility that strictly prohibits overnight sleeping, we’ve learned to appreciate the true meaning of transience. We essentially live everywhere and nowhere at once.”
