The inaugural Feral Feast took place this past Saturday in a repurposed barn just outside of Wilsall. The event invited local residents to reconnect with their ancestral roots by consuming items that are technically edible but rarely requested at the Co-op.

Diners sat on reclaimed cedar stumps while sampling a multi-course meal centered on lichen, bitterroot, and what organizers described as “opportunistic greens.” The goal was to bridge the gap between those who work sixty hours a week and those who have the time to track down wild dandelion stalks in the shade of a highway overpass.
